this inn is on a busy corner, I asked the owner when I booked if it was quiet and she assured me it was. No wi- fi in our room as advertised, get the with times, folks and make sure it works all the time. We stayed in the carriage house in what is called the Romantic Suite. Not so,... more

We have stayed in similar inns of this nature, and I really enjoyed this Inn. We stayed two nights during busy season and the Inn Keeper was more than accommodating to all our needs. The dining room and breakfast, although selve serve, was one of the nicest that we have had. The quiche were home made and delicious; and the... more

I am writing primarily to respond to one of the earlier reviews which I found to be highly objectionable in tone and content. The review discussed an unpleasant 3-hour wait for service while standing outside the Lodge on a noisy sidewalk. Surely, arriving at the Lodge at 12 Noon would suggest to most people that taking a tour through beautiful... more

We stopped in Lunenburg for two night during our honeymoon in Nova Scotia and we had the privilege to stay at this wonderful Inn. The Inn keepers were wonderful. We were welcomed by a the lady of the inn, who showed us to our room, brought us fresh water with lemon and made a restaurant reservation for us in one... more

First I would like to start off by saying what a wonderful time we had in Lunenburg on our 8 year anniversary. My wife and I live in Halifax and usually try to get out of town to a nice B&B on this special day and usually choose someplace close, so we can concentrate on the fun having, instead of... more

Were traveling in Nova Scotia and stopped in Lundenberg for dinner. Past this lovely Gothic revival Victorian inn and stopped to ask for availability of accommodations. Took a room in the carriage house with private bath, jacuzzi tub. Lovely accommodations, the bath was as big as the bedroom. The Inn has an dinning room that offers a special price fixed... more

My family of four arrived at the Bluenose Lodge on August 17, 2007 at 12 noon. The Lodge was closed. Terra Nova Pottery Shop next door told us that the place was run at arms length, meaning that there was no management on the premises. We made a call from a pay phone to a telephone number left on a... more

In response to this review; These potential guests clearly did not understand the terms of our verbal agreement. All guests that book with us are subject to a 72 hour cancellation policy. Our check in time is 3 PM daily as we require much of the day to prepare/clean the rooms for the next round of visitors. These people arrived...

The Bluenose was perfect for our 6 day stay. Clean, quiet, very comfortable and attractively decorated. Located an easy walk to town. Excellent advice and hospitality from Inkeeper Andrea who has done a great job respecting the history and style of the Inn. Dinner at the inn was very good with a only a couple of minor flaws. Overall, a... more

This is a very clean and very cute B&B! I'm not sure when it opened, but everything in the room looked pretty new. After staying in a horrible one the night before in Halifax, this was definately worth the little extra we spent! The breakfast the next morning was very good too, not just bagels and coffee. There wasn't a... more

We arrived in Lunenburg with no reservation and were lucky enough to get a room at the Bluenose, a beautiful old three-story home that is tastefully and comfortably decorated. The innkeeper was friendly and helpful, dinner and breakfast were wonderful, and the rooms were all gorgeous. We wished we had more than one night there and would highly recommend it. more
