I was told it never snows on Vancouver Island ... but it certainly did the night we stayed at Estuary Estate B&B, which meant the wonderful warm welcome and practical help from owners Susan and Richard was much appreciated. A cup of tea, the loan of Susan's snowboots to ensure I didn't slip, and extra shovelling by Richard to clear the path set the tone for a very nice stay. A spacious and warm lounge for visitors, attractively furnished rooms, and a great breakfast all combined to ensure we had a great visit . The views over the water are stunning - definitely a place to come back to, but perhaps next time in the summer ! more
