I have stayed in many cities, but this hotel is truly amazing. The view from the balcony was pricelss. Room was fantastic, and the restaurant we ate at for dinner was superb. Not cheap, but worth it. Only minor criticism is some of the staff could have been friendlier/less distracted by talking to their mates whilst serving, but this is... more

We stayed in this beautiful location for my daughters birthday. We had two ajoining rooms on the edge of the lake. Amazing views, comfortable lodge rooms with log fires and balconies. Excellent evening meal in main lodge which was relaxed with great service. Hot tub was out of action, which we had been looking forward to. This was the perfect... more

We arrived at Emerald Lake, on a really drizzly wet day. You park your car in a car park a little up from the lake and the Lodge, and when you pull in you see the employers chalets, and not much of a view. This is when we panicked thinking this was where we were going to be staying, which... more

We stayed here for three nights at the end of Sept 2009. The location of the hotel is wonderful - Emerald Lake really is a spectacular site and well worth a visit. However, I don't feel quite so enthusiastic about an experience during our stay. One of our party cut their foot badly on a sharp fitting on the bottom... more

We stayed on the lake and the view was fabulous. The setting was peaceful. The room was updated. There was a heated slate floor in the bathroom. The bed linens were plush. Yes, they do shuttle you to and from the lodge, which is sort of a hassle, but there was never a problem getting the shuttle whenever you needed... more

My husband and I loved our trip to Emerald Lake. I have to admit when we had a knock at the door and heard someone call out " Woodsman" I locked myself in the bathroom and left my husband to fend for himself. So a woodsman build the fire in your room in case you are like me. The rooms... more

the setting is spectacular. this lodge is the only one on the lake, so you really get the sense you are in the wilderness, when in fact you are a few miles from a major road. Cars are not allowed on the penninsula the lodge is on, adding to the peacefulness (the cars are an easy 10 minute walk from... more

Wow. A shuttle takes you up to the hotel from the parking lot as they don't allow vehicles at the hotel. This is great because there is not "burnout" noise. We went during the week and it was dead. Only 3 other couples there so I would recommend that over the weekend. Room had a lake view from the deck... more

We just returned from a 10 day hiking trip to the Canadian Rockies. We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge for 3 nights and really loved it there. The lodge is on Emerald Lake which is a moderately large alpine lake with tourquoise water and surrounded by tall Canadian pines. The lodge rooms and suites are spread out among the... more
