Odd shaped rooms. Shower over the bath which i dont like. Lackadaisical service. But cheap and probably the only place to stay on the North Shore. Outrageously priced Internet. This is a common problem in NZ hotels and needs to be sorted.

I stayed on the 18th floor which had 225° of spectacular views from Lake Pupuke south across Auckland city to the Tamaki Strait. Room was excellent with separate bedroom, well-specc'd compact kitchen, dining room and lounge. Despite being able to see everywhere there was a very high level of privacy.

Been here a few times now and love this hotel. If you want to base yourself on the north shore then there is no other choice. Rooms are good and choice of tv channels and magazines is great. Nice Hotel, decent sized clean rooms, friendly staff. Nice views of the water from certain rooms. One of the best buffet breakfast I have ever had, well worth paying slightly more for it, you wont need to eat again till dinner time.

I was disappointed to find frayed edges on the face cloth I used and the tiles need re-grouting, along with this the seal on the shower/bath was not good,definitely not 4 Star at all.
