We stopped one night at this privately run motel, chosen for being reasonably priced and close (10 minutes) to the Kootenay Bay ferry.
Initial impression was of a simple motel with the door to the office supervised by a very friendly, very old dog. Reception was friendly and helpful.
Accommodation consisted of a very simply furnished sitting room with settee, dining table and two chairs. There was a TV. The integral kitchenette had a four ring hob, microwave, kettle, fridge, coffeemaker (but no toaster). Crockery was limited to two cups and two glasses. No pots, pans or cutlery. On request some plates, cutlery and pans were willingly provided. (It appears that utensils etc are normally only provided for week lets - probably our mistake in booking but a rather strange arrangement). There was an air conditioning unit, but even a six-footer had to stretch to reach it.
