We stayed two nights at this establishment. The host's brusque manner was off putting at first, but he was willing to recommend places to eat and gave frank and candid advice in that regard. (Essentially that there were few decent choices, none of which were in Crawford Bay proper.) For someone who says that he served in Canada's foreign service,... more

We live in Cranbrook , and discovered this gem from a brochure aboard the ferry to Nelson. Only 2 hours from home. We had a delightful 2 day stay. Andre and Nancy were the consummate hosts, and besides yummy breakfasts, we were invited to share Nancy's birthday cake.We loved our room {Ambrosia} , well-appointed , clean and quiet. Everyone should... more

This B & B is located in a beautiful spot, with spectacular vistas of the mountains surrounding it. The rooms are well appointed with much of the furniture and art that Andre and Nancy, the owners, have accumulated during their extensive travels abroad. The food and service was excellent. In fact, the breakfasts were probably the best we have experienced... more

The manor is both lovely and interesting. There are many spots inside and out to linger and relax. The breakfasts are fabulous. There are terrific walks nearby. Nancy and Andre have many tales of their adventures and are quite content to sit and chat if you would like. Their pets are friendly and not a bother. Our rooms were clean... more

Ok this house is beautiful but all of its lovelyness could never make up for the lack of hospitality you will find here. The former new yorkers that own and run this bed and breakfast are horribly rude and extremely unfriendly. I have never experienced such crabby, bitter, cranky, owners in all of my many stays at bed and breakfasts.... more

Wedgwood was the highlight of our four-week road trip touring the Selkirk Loop. We stayed for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the inn, the surroundings, and the day drives. Nancy and Andre advised us on all the activities in the area. We dined at Boccalino's, took a hike to a lighhouse, scoured the artisan shops, rode the awesome Osprey ferry... more

The Wedgwood Manor is a beautiful old home. Sadly, the owners are not as gracious as the property. Upon our arrival, we were greeted and informed they were tired because the inn was full of guests (horrors!). We were then led to our room and informed we would not be given a key and they were offended we asked. Breakfast... more

What an exquisite experience! We had the Lady Caroline room booked for a family of four. The bed was luxurious and there was a day bed and trundle for our son (9) and daughter (11) as well. Upon arriving, we were greeted by our host, who offered us wine/cheese (and lemonade for the kids!) on our own patio. As it... more

We have just returned from a 12-day golf vacation and stayed at several B&B's and Inns. Wedgwood Manor was one of the most picturesque and quiet places we visited. Andre and Nancy made us feel welcome. We found the artisans of Crawford Bay interesting. We played 2 rounds of golf at Kokanee Springs course (across the road from the Manor).... more
