On arrival we had the most wonderful tea seved with the best home made scones I have ever tasted along with home made jam. The rooms were fabulous with the comfiest bed I have... More

We recently spent a night at Larkbeare Grange. Charlie kindly made dinner reservations for us, as we were late arriving. The place is lovely and comfortable. There is a field of sheep nearby which adds a bucolic touch. The room was comfortable and provided everything one would need at a hotel, including a bottle of sparkling water. The breakfast was... Beautiful house, lovely setting. So peaceful and a wonderful welcome from Charlie and Julia. No detail overlooked and Julia's homemade heartshaped scones and jam (with cream of course) are not to be missed. We had a lovely suite of rooms and a gloriously comfortable bed, much appreciated after an afternoon mountain biking at nearby Haldon. Dinner at Jack on the... More

This is THE most wonderful 'home' to visit. Such a warm welcome from Charlie and Julia, luggage brought in, tea and scones by the real fire in the drawing room, comfy chairs. The weather was awful (well, it was January!) but it simply didn't matter - would take more than a little rain to dent the atmosphere here. The house... More

On arrival at Larkbeare Grange we received a very warm welcome from Julia. After showing us to our beautiful front bedroom she kindly made us a pot of tea served with scones, clotted cream and homemade Strawberry preserve. Delicious and all very genteel having been served in the Drawing Room! We ate out that evening and Julia had given us... More

My friend and I stayed over when we were traveling the England countryside. What a delightful experience. The hosts, Julia and Charlie, were so welcoming and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our beautifully furnished room had one of the most comfortable beds I think I've ever slept in and was spacious and charming with a large bathroom... More

A very warm welcome awaits you, and it continues throughout your stay. This has got to be The Best b&b. Thank you Charlie and Julia for your warm hospitality. The home-made scones, jam and biscuits were delicious, the breakfast was superb and as for your walnut bread!!!!! The room was beautiful even the dismal weather couldn't put a dampner on... More

Arrived in dreadful weather, roads flooded etc to a warm welcome from Charlie and Julia. They immediately laid a fire in the lounge and brought us a beautiful Cornish cream tea. Room was well appointed and spotless, breakfast was very good too. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who provided advice on where to eat as well as... More
