The motel its self was quite nice and very close to many attractions ( Hikes, Bowan Island etc) The room was alright, not super clean, but not too bad. However, my bed was infested with bed bugs and as a result I got a ridiculous amount of bites all over my body that we very itchy and lasted for a couple of weeks. Also, the thing about bed bugs is that you can bring them home with you in your suitcase because they often attach to your clothes. You then infest your mattress and they are literally impossible to get rid of. What you end up having to do is getting rid of your mattress and buying a new one, which is super expensive!

Also, the rooms were not equipped with irons or ironing boards or blow-driers which even the most basic places I have stayed at in the past have had. However, there was an electric fake fireplace, a mini-fridge and a microwave.
