We were moving from Calgary and needed a place to stay with three kids and a dog for a few days. Hotels just weren't for our crew. We loved Bragg Creek (located 30-40 min SW of Calgary) as a great weekend destination with its great restaurants, western charm and convenience to Kananaskis. The accomodations was just what we were looking for, we had the run of the lower level and it included a pool table, kitchen and satellite TV. Probably the best though was the fire pit out back that Fred got going so we could roast marshmellows for the kids. Later Darryl took the kids on walk to the pasture to meet the horeses up close. It was great for our dog to have room to roam instead of being cooped up. The breakfast was coooked to order at whatever time we wanted, and the omlettes were out of this world. I don't know where they got all that fresh fruit in October, but there was lots of it which our daughter really enjoyed. It is a drive to Calgary, but if you want to be in the country... more
