Nestled on a cliff overlooking the rugged Pacific coastline and surrounded by a private old growth forest, The inn is an intriguing romantic experience. Purpose built to be different and dramatic the setting offers privacy and elegance to its adult clientele. There are six rooms, four have awesome ocean views. Whales, sea lions and eagles are often visible from each of these rooms. The other two rooms are in our forest view cottage cozy and very private.

I can not speak more highly about our experience at the STUNNING Snug Harbour Inn. I was tossing up between a few accommodations but as soon as I spoke to Nancy on the phone, her genuine, rare customer service sold me instantly and we booked without anymore hesitation. We came to Uclulet to elope and they helped make our time more successful than I could have asked for. It was just the 2 of us but Nancy & Fabian were so warm and excited for us it felt like we had family with us, she helped my do up my dress, take some photos and made us feel so welcome as I took over the space getting ready.
Nancy puts so much thought into the breakfasts, making sure there is variety and uniqueness to the meals, not just your standard bacon & eggs and they've arranged the cutest custom breakfast boxes that are left your door at the time of your choice.
They have a beautiful fireplace in the main room and another one down on the private beach all set up and ready to go so all the guests have to do is light the match! They have binoculars for you to borrow to take in the incredible views with the Big Beach just a short 10minute walk away and the highly recommended Lighthouse trail a nice long walk or short drive away.
We stayed in the Lighthouse room which had beautiful functioning vintage-looking port holes for some of the windows, such a cute feature, great comfortable deck chairs.
The robes and bedding are so comfortable, a nice large shower (its a rain shower ladies so have a shower cap ready if it's not a hair washing day), french press coffee which Nancy swapped the blend when she though we would like one more than another - such an incredible host I can not gush more highly of.
There are small sanitizer bottles conveniently located all through the B&B so guests can still utilize the common area with peace of mind.
We most certainly will be back. Thank you so much Nancy, Fabian and Charlie!!

As Vancouver Islanders, we have visited our lovely West Coast many times over the years but this time was exceptional due to our stay at the Snug Harbour Inn. The location overlooking the black rock area of Ucluelet close to the Wild Pacific Trail is stunning and we could barely tear ourselves away from our private deck. Our room, the Valhalla, was very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed with those small details that make a difference. ( i.e. cosy lush robes, French press coffee maker with fresh ground coffee, etc.)
Breakfast is fabulous - delivered fresh to your room in the morning in individual travel boxes. We enjoyed delicious homemade scones, mouth-watering smoothies ( made with different fruits each morning), smoked salmon scramble and a splendid breakfast wrap over our three days.
Nancy and Fabian were wonderful hosts. When we arrived in our room, there was a bottle of Prosecco and card to greet us wishing us a "Happy Anniversary!"
Nancy took particular care to ensure that my food allergies and sensitivities were noted and provided alternatives when necessary.
If you are still a little nervous about travelling during COVID, Snug Harbour Inn is an ideal place to visit. Everything has been carefully planned for a safe and healthy stay starting with the hand sanitizer at the front door and in the room. Individual breakfasts served in your room and thorough sanitizing done throughout the Inn. We couldn't have felt more welcome and comfortable and hope to return soon!

A Snug Harbour Inn is the place to stay in Ucluelet, BC for several reasons. First, it is clear Nancy (the owner and innkeeper) is hardworking, detail oriented, and passionate about making sure guests have a positive experience while in Ucluelet. Second, we came during a pandemic (Covid-19) and were unsure what the impact on our stay would be. We had breakfast brought in gorgeous boxes to our door. The Inn is always perfectly clean, the fresh lines of vacuum marks are calming reminders we are in good hands. Finally, our room (the lighthouse room) is the perfect mixture of traditional cabin and modern comfort. The bathroom has heated floors, and a beautiful shower our bedroom has beautiful wood and obviously the perfect view.

I recognize there is lots of places to stay with beautiful views in Ucluelet/Tofino. However, hotel personnel/staff can always have an impact on your experience. Nancy at a Snug Harbour Inn clearly takes pride in her work, and puts in effort to make sure you have a positive experience.

Thank you to Nancy and Fabian for hosting us at A Snug harbor Inn recently!

We were so happy to find availability for the Sawadee room due to its large and private patio with an amazing view and the bathroom with a large bathtub by a fireplace; it did not disappoint at all! We spent many hours sitting on our Adirondack chairs outside just enjoying the view and calm that surrounds us.

In addition, guests have access to a hot tub, a private beach with fire pit, and a seating area in the lobby/kitchen part of the inn. Rooms don’t have their own fridge but each room has a section in a shared fridge and access to kitchen items like glassware and cutlery. We were a little apprehensive about having to share a fridge but it worked out well and appreciated having access to insulated cups to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire on the beach one night. We also had no problems getting to use the hot tub and no one hogged it during our stay, which was nice.

In addition to our own patio, there were so many spots to enjoy just being outside; the beach at low tide to check out the tide pools, the small bar-style seating overlooking the beach, the main patio area by the hot tub, and the fire pit at night! The beach is accessible by stairs and we found it easy to go up and down as needed.

Breakfast is served daily and always a surprise to look forward to! Due to COVID, it is not served in the main communal area, but delivered in a wine crate each morning, which we prefer since our room has a little table. We really enjoyed everything we had but those scrambled eggs were amazing! We were also delighted to enjoy local coffee in a coffee press in our room each morning too; these are the small touches that make A Snug Harbour Inn so special!

We found it easy to walk into Ukee and access the Wild Pacific Trail, which is a must do when in Ukee! If you are not familiar with Ukee and the area, Nancy and Fabian have many tips to help orient you during your stay.

We recommend A Snug Harbour Inn for anyone who is looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay that is very comfortable; it truly feels like you are staying in someone’s beautiful home by the ocean! And to anyone reading this review from abroad, if you want a truly Canadian experience when international tourists are allowed to visit again, come to Ukee and stay at A Snug Harbour Inn!

My wife and I are frequent visitors to the Ucluelet area and had heard of Snug Harbour Inn several times from other visitors and locals we had become friends with. We needed a break, as many do in these times of stress and decided we needed a serious treat as well. Snug Harbour Inn was on both our minds. We were not disappointed! From the moment we were greeted at the door by Nancy we felt this was going to be special. Nancy's husband Fabian joined in as we registered and we found him engaging and just a guy who carried a smile around with him and his sense of humour. When we were shown our room our jaws dropped! The attention to detail was beyond any of the 5 star hotels in Europe we had visited. We both relaxed and just enjoyed the decks and beach area to the fullest. Our sleep after the long drive from the ferry in Nanaimo was restful and we got to experience something we did not expect...breakfast in bed! Due to the Covid 19 crisis the normal communal breakfast had been replaced by a beautiful box filled with tasty treats like scones and wraps to fuel us for our day wandering the Wild Pacific Trail. As my wife and I are both avid photographers there was plenty for us to enjoy even within walking distance. Now the question is, would we go back...without question. I never realized how much I enjoy being pampered. I know my wife is already thinking about the winter storm season which is our favourite time in the Ucluelet area. Thanks Nancy and Fabian. We'll catch you again when the winds are strong and the waves high...

We absolutely loved our 2 nights at Snug Harbour Inn! We had amazing hosts, fantastic food, an amazing view, and a clean and comfortable room. The location is perfect - walking distance to town, with a private beach. The hot tub was wonderful and looks out over the harbour. The room offered locally made coffee and locally made toiletries (in large bottles which is a huge bonus!). It was the perfect west coast stay. We will definitely plan to stay there again the next time we visit the Ucluelet/Tofino area.

If you are checking the reviews, you have already probably figured out that this is an awesome place to spend your vacation. Unfortunately, that is a bit of a conundrum as this place was so amazing we don't want to share it with anyone else. Alas, let me regale you with our story.

Unlike most vacation rentals/hotels etc., Nancy and Fabian truly care about their guests. They go out of their way to do all the little things that are not expected, but make staying at the Inn feel like home. Whether it's Fabian building roaring fires for guests to enjoy in the living room or on the beach, or Nancy checking in to give some guidance on great places to check out or places to eat, always feel welcome and comfortable.

The rooms were amazing, with beautiful views that can only be truly captured at sunset or sunrise, enjoyed with a glass of vino next to a roaring fireplace.

The coffee supplied from Foggy Bean was exceptional, so much so that we ended up buying three bags to take home.

But for me, what made the stay truly fantastic, was Nancy's breakfast. Her scones which were perfectly crunchy on the outside while still being warm and soft in the middle probably belong in some sort of artisan bakery in Paris. I've eaten at Michelin starred restaurants that pale in comparison to Nancy's breakfast. I'd literally sell my wife for another slice of her apple tart. (My wife was not so happy about that).

Anyways, if you made it this far, stop reading and just book it already. You won't regret it.

Oh my goodness Josh, you brought tears of laughter and joy to my eyes - what a review! You and your friends - especially your wife whom I know you would never trade in haha, were an absolute delight to host. This review has now inspired me to add more desert to the menu - who says you can't have chocolate fudge cake with decadent chocolate ganache for breakfast :-) . We are so very pleased that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us and felt at home. Hope to see you all again some day soon and we look forward to hosting your in-laws in December! Thank you for taking the time to write such a motivating and fun review - we just love it!

Our amazing experience at A Snug Harbour Inn is one that we will not soon forget, and we truly can't wait to return. Our only complaint is that our two night stay was not long enough! Not only is the property and location breathtakingly beautiful, but Nancy and Fabian have thought of every single detail to make their guests feel completely comfortable, relaxed and thoroughly spoiled. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, and Nancy bakes the best scones you will ever taste. We wanted another day just to stay at "home" and bask in the ambiance of this stunning place. Do not hesitate to book your stay here, you will not be disappointed. Until next time Nancy, Fabian and Charlie - and thank you!

My partner and I spent two luxurious nights at Snug Harbour in The Sawadee - King room under the warm and inviting care of Nancy and Fabian. Before we get into the review, let me just say, we came home and immediately booked our next stay!

Now, the specifics: Snug Harbour Inn is a beautiful 20 minute drive away from Pacific Rim national park and its old growth trees and stunning beaches. It is located in a quiet Uclulet residential neighbourhood, so having a car to get around is recommended. Nancy and Fabian have very lovingly cared for the Inn and it's beach, keeping everything very clean, tidy and comfortable, alongside thoughtful little touches like the wood burned logo in the well-made and designed breakfast box. We enjoyed our chats with our hosts and the other guests we met in the hot tub on the shared deck, and didn't make it down this time, but can't wait to join Fabian on the beach for a bonfire!

Although we haven't tried out other rooms, The Sawadee is decisively "our" room. What a treat it was to have our own little patio overlooking the forest and water and to have access to the beautiful private beach. The deck is perfect for sunrise yoga and slow mornings spent indulging in piping hot coffee and Nancy's delicious salmon frittata, not to mention, salivating over her apple tarte. At night, the large, deep soaker tub and the flickering fireplace were divine following an afternoon spent in the waves.

We're already counting down the days to our next stay at Snug Harbour Inn. Thank you, Nancy and Fabian, for warmly creating a new place for us to call home!

From the time you arrive, Nancy the owner greets you and goes over the local maps and answers any questions you may have. You then are taken to your room, we stayed in the Atlantis for three nights. The room is beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable.

Each morning you an outstanding breakfast is brought to your room, each morning it was something delicious and filling. The views are beautiful and you can venture down to the beach which is private and beautiful. The hot tub was a wonderful addition after we walked along the beaches in Tofino.

Highly recommend coming and staying at A Snug Harbour, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Nancy surprised us with an amazing cake and Prosecco for our anniversary a really lovely touch. Felt very safe here with the Covid protocols in place.

You will want for nothing staying here.
