We had a large room, an additional room above on a separate level, with a balcony. Filter coffee machine, TV. No breakfast included, but there is a nearby ship that will do a breakfast. Mainly a fishing location for groups, but suited us as we were camping. Less than $100 per night, even less if you have a group of... more

Contrary to a previous review on this site we decided to give it a try - can't be that bad. All 4 of us had very good meals - prime rib was done to perfection, vegies not overcooked or mushy, my rack of ribs were very tender and tasty. Even my wife's burger was nice and juicy (she love's burgers... more

We really had the worst dinner during our 10 day vacation (Vancouver, Ucuelet, Victoria). I wanted to try the freshly caught salmon, what a disaster. For $16.95 I got a plate so unappetizing I am still mad at myself for not sending it back right away. The salmon was dry, overcooked, the baked potato boiled and lukewarm, the vegetables and... more

My first halibut was 57 pounds and I was permanently hooked of the Canadian Princess Resort. It is the best value for the money anywhere. In 2003 I caught a 90 pound halibut on 30 pound test line and barbless hooks(salmon jig). I have always come away with the feeling that I got more than my money's worth of entertainment,... more

What can I say about the Canadian Princess? I've been going for 6 years now every summer and love it. It's a relaxed place with great staff and most of all, the fishing is awesome! There boats must be the best on the coast and they know where to find fish. When you think of what you would pay to... more

If this is how they run their business, it's a wonder they get any clients! After the 4 of us paid $1400.00 for a stay here, we got SHAFTED and lost it all. I guess they make money no matter what, especially on international guests. If their guests have to cancel, THEY GET PAID!!! Do your research, think about it,... more

We stayed at the Canadian Princess for one night before sea kayaking. The main market of the resort is fishing trips and you need to bear this in mind if you want to stay as the rooms do smell a little fishy! The rooms were clean and well-maintained, however the mustiness did become a bit of a joke! The staff... more

There are two parts to this review. The booking experience, and the actual hotel stay. Booking at the Canadian Princess was something of an unexpected chore. Calling the general number for their parent company yielded an answering machine telling us to leave a message, or call back during business hours. It *was* during business hours, but we never got a... more

We started coming to this resort about 5 years ago. We go back every year. The fishing is amazing, the crews on the boats are knowledgeable and there for the customers. Some years we catch a lot of fish, others we don't but that's just fishing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes its boiling, but that is the ocean,... more

Booked this trip with a group that goes every year on Labor Day weekend. Had a pretty good time, very quaint and friendly town, good staff. The captains and deckhands were very knowledgable and put us right on the fish. Caught 5 silvers, 3 kings, 1 ling cod, and 1 halibut. Was only able to keep 2 silvers as all... more
