Have just gotten 'round to writing a few words about this B&B after staying there fairly recently. The room was fine, the breakfast was okay, I would say so so. Nothing dreadful, nothing scrumtious. The hosts, however, in my opion (my spouse disagrees) were over solicitous to say the least. In a B& B I do expect interest, curiosity, and a desire on the hosts' part to try and make our stay comfortable...helping with reservations, etc. The hosts at Harrington House were, in a word, intrusive. They literally took over, booked us into restaurants, expensive ones, without our permission first, got entirely too involved in our reasons for visiting Picton in the first place, asked about 13 million questions at breakfast and gave about 13 million overly opininated statements while we were simply attempting to have a peaceful, relaxing breakfast.
