We stayed here just for one overnight - and wished we had planned a longer visit. The Miller’s House is a small and intimate B&B with charming rooms, a large garden overlooking Milford Pond, and a host who takes good care of his guests. Our breakfast was a treat for both the eye and the palette: home made scones, pineapple intertwined with melon, eggs and sausage: more than I could eat. But then our host sent us off to the Sandbanks Provincial Park where we swam and walked off our calories. Imagine a long beach with the finest sand, warm fresh water, and all of this just on the edge of forests rich in hiking trails and canoeing opportunities.
By chance, our host was giving a private reception - and included us in the party! We met the locals, learned about the County wines and wine.making, picked up tips on the nearby organic farms and 'cheese-eries', and added some history to our repertoire.
