Myself and4 girlfriends were looking forward to our annual "girls get-away. Our trip planner stumbled on a "girls getaway" wknd. pkg. We all agreed the internet advertisement sounded great- boy we were wrong. Immediately upon arriving we were asked to pay- no "how was your drive?"or "please come in and get settled" The ad promised a tour of kitchen to... more

We had a lovely 2-night getaway at the Merrill Inn. The inn is beautiful, and the innkeeper was very helpful in offering suggestions as to how we should spend our time. We had one dinner at the restaurant in the Merrill Inn and it was fantastic. The chef was excellent and the service very professional. I recommend this place for... more

The review dates back, but since I have benefited from TripAdvisor a lot recently I feel that I owe a review of this Inn. We stayed two nights just for a romantic getaway, but felt that it was not worth the price we paid. The inn and the rooms were clean, but there was nothing special about it, the surroundings... more

This was our first time staying at the Merrill Inn. We are not victorian / Inn people..we like modern but prepared ourselves for "old". Check in was a breeze but upon learning our room was on the third floor were a bit put off that there was no help for bags...Thank goodness we both work out...The room was probably less... more

We spent our 25th anniversery at the Merrill Inn in Picton and had the most fantastic time. The chef is truly gifted. The dinner was outstanding. The duck was so tender it melted in our mouth. Our complementary breakfast was really nice on the terrace amongst tall trees and gorgeous gardens. The couple that run the Inn, Edward Shubert and... more

The Food was ok, but not even close to what the innkeepers said it would be. The room was cozy but we were a little dissappointed after we toured the Clairmount Inn. Its obvious that we should have spent our weekend at the Clairmount and not the Merrill Inn ( better food, service and professionalism) more

Very professional hosts with a lot of experience in the industry, but they do not distance themselves from you. Everything is taken care of. We had front room on ground floor - no noise from street. more

It was so dirty we refused to stay and so we moved at 7pm at night to the Merrill Inn where we where treated royally. They were kind, the sevice was excellent and above... more

This historic Inn was beautiful, the rooms very pretty, romantic as if you stepped back in time. The hosts- a married couple were most gracious in sharing their home. Breakfast was included as well as a meal voucher or coupon for the provincial park where of course the amazing beaches of Sandbanks are the main attraction. more
