We spent the weekend in Picton for a wedding. Although the reception was held at Waring House, we decided to stay at its "sister hotel", the lower-cost Picton Harbour Inn. The staff were great and the view was really nice but the rooms and bed were old. The old, worn pink carpet was filthy. We made the mistake of sitting on the balcony to enjoy the view. The furniture was filthy and the indoor/outdoor carpet had fleas! They probably came from the pigeons that sat above us on the roof.... more

Six of us stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. It was spacious but in need of a thorough dusting, cleaning and painting. The entrance to the apartment's stairway was through the hotel storage hall. I cannot comment on the hotel only the restaurant. We stopped by the restaurant for breakfast on our way to Sandbanks. The food was unbelievable, the prices are fair and the staff is really friendly. I look forward to coming back this summer. I really recomend this place. more

I read mixed reviews, but chose to stay here for the location. I was pleasantly suprised. Our room was clean and recently painted. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. View of the harbor was the finishing touch. From what I understand there are three levels of rooms, gound floor, 2nd floor & 3rd floor. We chose the 2nd... more
