The place was gorgeous, the common area and the restaurant were very nice too. But! When we entered our room (106) we were hit by a thick smell of sewage/drainage/septic. We enjoyed a mostly wonderful time at Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge on Quadra Island. The commons rooms is gorgeous, the lodging is comfortable, and the location is ideal. So first the good: The setting is inspired, at the southerly point of the island, next to the lighthouse. The area is home to eagles and other wildlife, as well as some nice hikes.... more

We stayed here for a weekend last April, and liked it so much we booked right then and there for this April. It's a beautiful lodge, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the location is amazing. The restaurant is very good, and the service overall is excellent and friendly. more

Wow, what a place to be. A little hard to find but if you made it you will be positively surprised in any way. The lobby gives you a warm welcome and there is some spiritual in that place. This lodge is a great place for a quiet get-away. The dining experience was wonderful and very reasonably priced. The staff in the dining room was great and very friendly. The rooms are SMALL. We enjoyed a 2 night stay. Upon arriving we were impressed with the beautiful setting overlooking the Strait of Georgia. Our room was more than satisfactory with king size bed and a lovely bottle of wine and fresh strawberrys to mark our anniversary. This was a more than thoughtful jesture. Great place, good food but....... The rooms are quite a bit smaller than in other places we stayed in Canada this summer, consequently we could often smell the smokers on the next balcony, no TV in the room, we could also hear the newly weds next door! Not fantastic for privacy. more
