Our stay here was booked by our travel agent as a one night stopover after the ferry from Prince Rupert. We arrived at about 11:00pm straight from the boat. In the dim lights and our tired eyes, the room looked acceptable, nice and big and reasonably well equipped. The following sunny morning gave us a different viewpoint. Although the beds... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we were taking the Inside Passage ferry in the morning. The room was $139 +tax and wasn't worth it. I would compare the room to one that you would find at a cheap motel. If it was $60-$80 a night that would be good value. This place isn't worth what... more

We stayed one night off the ferry from Prince Rupert. Room was $160, plus GST and PST and an additional $15 room tax. None of these were mentioned when making a reservation. We had been paying around a $120 all up for similar accommodation in BC and Alberta, usually with continental breakfast. When I asked about the room rate including... more

The Glen Lyon Inn and Suites is in a picturesque setting on Port Hardy's Bay about a 10 minute drive from the ferry terminal. We found the rooms to be acceptable for an overnight stay prior to the ferry ride to Prince Rupert. The rooms look out on a bay and a marina and some light industry on the opposite... more

However, they only supplied the minimum towels pillows etc. trying to get extra was like pulling teeth. The restaurant was absolutely disgusting and dirty we did not eat there. The upstairs bar was closed and... more

My wife and I spent two nights here in late May 2008. The room was clean, and the furnishings were nice. We had a balcony overlooking the harbor. We could see one or more Bald Eagles anytime we stepped onto our balcony. We had one lunch in the dining room which was very good. We would stay here again. I... more

We stayed at this hotel in 24 July 2007 as an overnight stop on the way back from the inside passage ferry (Prince Rupert) to Victoria. For your information, I booked this hotel at the end of January 2007 and was told that this was the last room with 2 beds for the date that I wanted (my first choice... more

The front desk staff were so welcoming I got the feeling that they made it their business to get to know all their guests. They fell over backwards to make sure everything was comfortable for us. The room we had was large and had all the basics, including wireless internet access. The bathroom was a bit odd - actually turning... more

The accomodation is okay, comfortable, clean and good value for money. The views are brilliant, really good for bird watching as the hotel is on the estuary and there are good opportunities to see bald eagles right outside the window. It is essential that you have your own transport if you are staying here. The town is very quiet but the... more
