Just wanted to advise that Alberta's historic Kilmorey Lodge in Waterton Lakes National Park caught fire this morning at 4am. It burned to the ground on January 20th, 2009. Everyone made it out safely, according to park officials. Cause of fire is unkown and still being investigated. The lodge was built in 1926 and burnt down once before in 1933.... More

Food was pretty good at the lamp post. Salads were fresh and our entrees were okay. The service WAS incredibly slow and we had to wait forever to be seated even though we had a reservation. There seemed to be only about one waitress in the whole restaurant.

We have stayed at the Kilmoree Lodge once a year for the past five or six years. Largely our stays were in the winter, when we wanted to get a way for a quite and romantic weekend. While ther rooms have been consistently of high quality - furnished with antiques and the beds covered with wonderful quilts, the quality of... More

We've stayed at the Kilmorey lodge multiple times throughout the past five years and I am very sad to see they way it has deteriorated over the last year or so. Since Gerry and Leslie have moved on and new management moved in, the entire mood and atmosphere of the Kilmorey has changed markedly for the worse. Instead of the... More

The hotel is situated within the amazing Waterton Lakes National Park - and if you love the outdoors and nature, then this is a place that you shouldn't miss! However, the lodge itself is quite old and tired, the rooms (or my room at least!) are small and pokey with tiny bathrooms, and the local amenities are sparse at best!... More

We've stayed at Kilmorey Lodge multiple times, and eat regularly (5-10 times per year) in their dining room for more than a decade. Over the last three years the place as deteriorated noticeably each year. The service and food quality in the dining room has gone from excellent to mediocre. Today was a perfect example of the kind of rather... More

We stayed two nights at the Kilmorey Lodge. The hotel's location is superb - right on the lake across from Prince of Wales and within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Waterton. We had room #8 with a queen bed. This room was above the lobby and near the main stairway. We heard noise from the lobby,... More

We stayed two nights here and arrived after a very long drive from Moraine Lake, Banff National Park. The position fo the lodge is great, being right on the edge of the town, but everything you need is within walking distance. Kilmorey Lodge itself is quaint if a bit dated. Our room was small but clean and quite adequate -... More

My wife and I spent two nights at the Kilmorey Lodge in early July --I booked a suite thinking we would have plenty of room ---Boy, were we surprised. The king size bed took up 90% of the bedroom and the living room room was very small. Of course, there was no TV or phone in the room--The living room... More

We stayed here one night in late June. I had originally had a room up the road in Pincher Creek for $65 CAD. At the last minute, I was afraid we wouldn't have enough time to do all our hiking in Waterton, so decided to "splurge" and spend $140 for this romantic (advertised as such) place. The room was very... More
