The room had not been cleaned properly. The toilet needed to be cleaned, pubic hair and dirt had accumulated between the tank and seat. The carpet needed vacuuming which became really apparent when we moved furniture to unfold the sofa bed. Bamfield Trails Hotel is part of a group called the Hawkeye Marine Group which owns a few properties in Bamfield. I called about reserving for August and was quoted a price of 289 per night for the Kingfisher Lodge. It is a part of a house. If you are in Bamfield and you are there for the fish not the accomodation, this is the place for you. A short walk from the government wharf and presto...a room, shower and surprisingly good eventing meal all at a very reasonable rate.
