Been staying at this place whilst working in Bristol, and it is great - warm, clean, and all the usual mod-cons. A really cute and cosy bed and breakfast. Everything had been well thought of, the room was lovely and well decorated. The bed was really comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean! The Base is a fantastic self-contained place to stay. The room (room 8) was simply and tastefully decorated with some homely touches and spotlessly clean. Modern bathroom and powerful HOT shower. If you have a car (hired) , the location is very well. It was very cold these days and the rooms are not very pleasant warm. Stayed for 4 nights at the Base when working away from home in Bristol. I really liked it, and plan to stay next time I'm working in Bristol. Clean, quiet, large room. Best thing was the really big well equiped kitchen - made working away from home much better.

It really was a pleasure having you all, although next time I'd rather you served the cake in the kitchen ;-) There's a new page on our website thebase.vg for Group Bookings which shows the self contained units where groups don't have to worry about disturbing other guests (and vice versa!) More

Yes, the Lidl and Morrisons are soon to be joined by a new Aldi too, which is opening soon. But closer than all of these is the "International Food Centre" run by very friendly Turks. Last I heard is they even offered to carry a guest's shopping back to The Base for them! You can't even pay for that kind... More
