My partner and I go to VegFest each year in Bristol, so we've experienced our share of hotels/hostels nearby! Malago is the best fit, and I'm sure we'll stay there again. The staff are very welcoming, the room was clean and modern, and the breakfast room downstairs was open pretty much all hours. This was good in the evening when... More

Along with four friends, I stayed in the Malago for one night and was thoroughly impressed. We arrived at Bristol too early to check in, but the staff were friendly enough to let us leave our car in the car park whilst we explored the city. We returned for check-in and were given a warm welcome. The lady that helped... More

On arrival, I had to negociate with white van man for a parking space at the rear. It is very, very tight and van man tends to block everyone in or out as the case may be. The whole place had recently been refurbished to a very high standard and my room was very toasty, but plenty of space. The... More

Two nights at this B&B which is very clean and modern. Lots of tea and coffee provided in the room. Breakfast was a good experience with two toasters and three different breads next to them. Croissants and other pastries are readily available. Ham and cheese as well as boiled eggs are provided. Two fruit juices and a range of teas... More

Budget gems are rare in Bristol but this one is a find! Everything was truly clean, free wifi in room worked fine, generous tea/coffee etc, good range/quantity of food at breakfast. Room was a decent size, well appointed with a decent size bath as well as a shower. Staff were efficient and helpful. Security good. At only £39 for a... More

As other reviewers have said already, the accomadation is modern and clean. Breakfast was basic but adequate (sef serve tea/coffee, juice, cereals, toast, cheese, cold meat). Wifi is included (no extra charge). Downside when I stayed was a big group of lads (stag do perhaps) who came back at 5am, woke everyone in the building up, then had a door... More

Wanting a two night stay somewhere handy for the centre we found this on the internet and were impressed by good reviews, handy position and excellent value. Modern clean decor throughout, comfortable well furnished bedroom and ensuite. Excellent continental breakfast, plenty of choice. Free parking a real convenience when you intend to walk and use public transport. The hotel easily... More

Booked this room at short notice and I was not expecting much, what a pleasant suprise. The room was modern, clean and well furnished. The bathroom was spacey and the shower was wonderful.Another bonus was they had a full sized kettle and plenty of coffee, sugar ect.we were at the back, the view was not much to talk about but... We stayed here for one night (me and the wife) and although the rooms were clean and adequately facilitated, the staff were pretty rude and not attentive. The location was on a long steep hill/road with nothing in the locality to really entertain staying guests. The staff (if you could call them that) seemed like a family run unit of... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here as we were having an overnight break in Bristol to see a comedy show in the Hen and Chicken (very close walk away).
