We stayed for four nights and the rooms were comfy and clean but regularly lacking towels, soap, toilet paper and drinking glasses. Requests for these items went wrong regularly. Newspaper orders were particularly difficult and mostly failed. All this was due to a particularly dozy reception guaranteed to cock up any request. The food was OK but ordinary and warm... more

We've stayed in a few hotels in Bristol and in the past have found they lack atmosphere. Our stay at the Redwood was completly differerent. We arrived early, and although check in wasnt until 2pm, Adam offered a room to check in to straight away. We were staying here due to a local wedding and were offered directions to the... more

Well transport to the hotel was supposed to be arranged by my company which was not the hotels falut when it did not turn up at the station however when I tried to ring my colleagues for advice I rang the hotel sollidly for 45 minutes and the phone was not answered. I therefore gave up and got a taxi... more

Firstly, the hotel is now part of the Folio Group and has reverted to its original name of Redwood Lodge. We stayed at this hotel on New Year's Eve in both 2006 & 2007 along with another couple for the Gala Dinner. In 2006, our experience was fantastic. Being local (and once even a member of the gym here) we... more

I have stayed here a few times, this time we wanted somewhere nearish to the airport for a reasonable price, since we were arriving late and leaving early. The room was ok, generally tidy but a bit tired and the bathroom needed freshening up. We paid quite a low rate, though the hotel themselves told me the price should have... more

I had been booked to stay here for one night by a company I do freelance work for. I read the reviews with trepidation but went with an open mind. My work was going to be in the hotel all day. It was a lovely summers day and check in was friendly and efficient. My room was a good size... more

We stayed at this hotel overnight between flights. The room itself was a reasonable standard but the public areas were grim. We ate in the restaurant which has an odd policy of a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses, being quite late we only wanted one course but we ended up paying more for one course than if we'd... more

We booked this hotel because it looked really fabulous on their website, set in acres of lovely countryside. It also had an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a leisure club. We wanted somewhere special for our 17th Wedding Anniversary. We arrived on the Friday afternoon, and were checked in within about 2 minutes; the receptionist never offered to... more

We live in London. This is the 4th time we've come here, in the last 18 months. And we've been to Bristol about 10 times over the years. Bristol is a good base for touring around - there's so much to do. We're glad we found this Corus hotel. There isn't a problem with parking, and the hotel is set... more
