An excellent well priced hotel. Friendly service and great food. Have stayed in hotels for twice the money that haven't been half as good! There is plenty of parking in the surrounding area... The staff helped with booking taxis.

We stayed here just for one night whilst visiting friends. The hotel is in a great location just 5 min walk from Clifton triangle which has lots of bars, resteraunts and shops but no parking off road though we did get a space right outside the premises. The staff (particularly the owners) were very welcoming and friendly. The room we...

On arrival the young man on reception was quite unfriendly. On the way up stairs to first floor we noticed the light was missing from the wire and was hanging loose with bare wires showing!. The double room only had towels and cups for one, the overall cleanliness was poor with dust on most surfaces. But what was most alarming...

I thought this hotel was very good for what it is, the owner was very friendly and efficient, and the breakfast downstairs in the bar was out of this world! Bedrooms are airy and of a good size and the location was very handy too.
I have just returned from a weekend stay and am quite shocked to read alot of the reviews on here, they do not seem to match my views at all!
We booked 2 double rooms and found them of a good size, extremely clean and to have all the comforts you would need, plenty of tea, coffee and milk, soap,...

We booked a family room for £85 and while it was OK I wouldn't go back there. The mattress was uncomfortable and in the middle of the night the room was too hot. The chair in the room had a hole in it with foam poking out. The breakfast was fine but the pub TV was on all the time....

I've just come back from Bristol after a long weekend stay at the Channings Hotel, Clifton, Bristol and I'm very happy to have stayed there. The rooms were clean and tidy and any minor problems we had were dealt with very quickly. The food was good (pub fayre, but I'm not knocking it!) and plentiful and didn't taste as if...

When we arrived we managed to find ourselves parking behind the hotel which was fine, the check in was quick and when we got to our room on the second floor we were pleasantly surprised by the room as it was clean, well presented and the bathroom was in good order. From reading some reviews before we got to the...

My husband and I stayed for one night (just as well, we wouldn't have stayed for two) while visiting Bristol. I am sorry to say that any visitor staying would be very disappointed. On reading the previous tip advisor comments made by people I am surprised that there is anything good to say - either these people have poor standards...

I have to start by the people who run the channing hotel and the people who work there....absolutely brilliant. Extremely friendly, flexible and would do anything to make your stay more comfortable. The hotel is brilliant, very clean with TV in each room. They have one family room which we use often. The pub downstairs is a plus - if...
