We were happy to stay at the hotel were the wedding was taking place but made the assumption that the accommodation and service for overnight guests would be mediocre. How uninformed was I? From the moment we walked throughout the door nothing was too much trouble, in fact union reflection, we didn't test that out as we didn't have to... More

This well appointed hotel is welcoming and friendly. The staff are attentive and smiling, and seem always ready and willing to assist. The restaurant is crisp and tidy and the menu enticing. I chose the Market Menu at £25 for three courses, each of which were extremely well presented and of a very high standard. This was a comfortable and... More

Stayed for one night over easter weekend. Booked two twin rooms executive style. Our room was large, hot during day, but cold and damp overnight, shower (over bath) had no hook, so had to use as hand held. Wash hand basin had radiator in front of it, so had to put towel on it to stop myself getting burnt (not... More

The best thing about this hotel is its excellent staff. We had a very warm welcome and from that point on nothing was ever too much trouble and several of our needs were anticipated. We were a family group and tables were set out for us to sit together in the lounge in the afternoon and in the bar in... More

Comfortable hotel in a good location. First night was a bit of a disaster as the heating in my room failed and I was bloody freezing - Luke warm shower too. However problem was fixed quickly so credit for that. Restaurant very nice - good menu but not cheap. Breakfast excellent. Staff very competent so overall I was pleased with... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on business. Staff very friendly and very helpful, rooms are very well presented and very clean. Complimentary soap and shampoo a welcome surprise. Food is excellent and the dining room service was exemplary, particularly enjoyed fresh made speciality rolls, warm and delicious. Free wifi is slow, but it is free and available throughout the hotel... More

This hotel is spotlessly clean, with modern decoration and comfortable ambience. Staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to know what you need and calmly provide the service you would expect from a hotel at this price. The food is excellent with plenty of choice. I have already booked another stay and would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

I attended a training course at Alveston House Hotel in January 2013. I have previously held adhoc customer meetings there and have always found the staff totally attentive and discrete (a difficult balance). We were met by happy reception staff and escorted into a light and airy dining room for plentiful coffee/tea and yummy biscuits . Lunch was on time... More

What a nice place for a meal. We went with friends and got a warm welcome. It's lovely and warm inside. Food was excellent and price was good value. They do a good 2/3 course menu at a good price. Easy to find and plenty of parking. If you are in the area do try it.

I recently attended a conference at the Alveston House Hotel. We were warmly welcomed on arrival with tea/coffee/biscuits. The lunch was fabulous, hot, fresh and plenty of it. The hotel itself is very warm, clean and a credit to its owners. I would certainly use the facilities myself in the future and recommend to others
