What a find, booked last minute. Lovely Inn tucked away, in a quiet rural area. However in easy reach of Bath. Room was beautiful, large with comfy leather sofa. The bathroom was amazing, loved the power shower and two basins and to top it all excellent view from the toilet. The food was excellent, good value freshly cooked food. The... More

with just 5 luxurious bedrooms I think Hunters Rest Inn is often fully booked - I had to offer two dates. Very large pub with excellent and friendly atmosphere. Good pub food, excellent breakfast cooked by the proprietor - grilled not fried so not swimming in oil or fat. Wonderful views from bedroom windows. I would recommend this establishment and... More

A good stay fot two nights last week. Room very good, quiet with decent bathroom, plenty of hot water and heating if you needed it. Bed was firm, but OK. Meals nice, breakfast cooked to order. Eat in the bar, from the resurant menu, great choice, only complaint from other diners that the portions were too large. I just had... More

I write this review as I drink my coffee and peruse the morning paper, following a very tasty full Somerset English in the Hunters Rest Inn. My stay here is motivated by business, but I must say, it did not feel I was away for work. I arrived after an awful rainy 5 hour Friday traffic journey on the M25... More

We went here for my birthday weekend, whilst it was ok it did not really meet our expectations. We were looking for something less rustic and more romantic. It's a pub with rooms, rooms which are fine newly refurbished Nd all that you want, we had room 5 which I wouldn't recommend as its a bit small. The pub is... More

Stopped here for lunch after a nice long walk on a cold wintry day. Perfect stop. The place is very sweet with live peacocks on the verandah, a nice warm welcome. The food - local fare: sausages and mash, fish and chips, warm pumpkin soup - was superb. Prices reasonable. Definitely recommended!

This is a busy country pub, quite tucked away in the countryside and not the easiest to find in the dark ! We stayed for a night recently for a family get-together. When we arrived I was a bit worried that dinner service might not be the best as the place was packed with reserved tables for quite large groups... More

We ate here, and I can fully recommend this eatery, I had a mixed grill, and st was the largest I have ever been served, not only this, but it was all cooked to perfection, although off the beaten path, it's really worth the drive, friendly staff, relaxed environment, and brilliant food. Also it's nice that there is a family... More
