Looking for a good value B&B within striking distance of Bristol, we came across the Old Bakery via a bed & brekfast website. Location wise it is perfectly situated about 20mins drive from the centre of the City yet within 5 mins of wonderful Somerset country side. Situated just off the main A38 road in Whitchurch, first impressions arent great as you carefully pull into a narrow concrete driveway with a rather tired veranda and house in front of you.

However, once inside everything changes - our room was huge (it was originally designed as part of a granny flat) with polished wooden floors, french doors out onto the back garden, lovely old furniture and all the usual modcons (TV, video, DVD, mini-fridge, kettle etc). The bathroom is actually a separate room right next to the bedroom, but you do have sole use of it and are able to shut the door at the end of the corridor if you want more privacy.
