I took my sister, her husband and 2 small children to this farm, hoping for a great few days with my niece and nephew. The building is very pretty and is located about 15 minutes walk to a really quaint little village. The owners were a little unfriendly though - and seemed to find it amusing that my 2 year old nephew was frightened of the 3 huge dogs that have the run of the place! Worst of all was when we came back from a day out and no one was there to let us in. We all waited in the car (it was raining) for an hour and when they came back there was no suggestion of apology, just told us we should have known they had their own lives too! this would have been fine had it been mentioned that they were going out, but it left a bit of a bad taste. The farm is well located for local attractions, the animals were a hit with the kids and with a bit of TLC could be a gorgeous place - but i think the owners could try a bit harder to be warm to their guests! more
