The standard of the rooms were a real surprise. Its a great little pub with rooms above, great character and a lovely menu. The team were helpful throughout. My only comment is that you have to cross the road from the car park, but theres plenty of space. more

I stayed at The 'Duck In' on 19th November and it has been beautifully refurbed and is budget room price but premium look. I stayed in a fab suite with it's own lounge, very contemporary look with lovely fabrics and wall-paper. The bed was really comfortable. I stayed at the Duck In recently and was more than pleasantly surprised by the new decor of the rooms. They now have quite a "chic" new look. Both bedrooms and bathrooms have had a major overhaul - and were stylish and comfortable throughout ! Great Value - i'll be staying again when i'm next down that way! more

The Duck Inn is an old inn with plenty of character. Part of the Innkeepers Lodge / Vintage Inns chain it gives reasonable value for money. Our room was quite spacious, the bed was comfortable and the room and ensuite were both clean. What the room did lack were some simple low cost finishing touches, as shown in my photos... more
