The room was not in the charming hotel as we expected, but just across from a little gardened area adjacent to the back of the hotel. The first night's sleep was very uncomfortable due to the mattress, we mentioned this to staff and they very quickly changed the mattress over for a new one and thanked us for letting them... More

We attended last Saturday. On arrival we stood around waiting for too long, then when we were shown to our table, the table was so close to the next one l couldnt get in. We had to move it, while the waitress stood and looked on. When we did get seated, we got the menu, and no wine list, no... More

on arrival taken to room 3, aircon not working and staff said "Why doesn't that work, oh well I'll leave it with you." then she left. We did get it working ourselves. The shower just dribbled water out and couldnt get a reasonable wash. Although single storey accomodation people were living in the roof space(probably staff) and loud footsteps heard... More

Very friendly pub with a good range of beer and cide. Decor is traditional i.e. not modernise. The menu sounded promising but when it arrived the food was disappointing,. Friends have reported similar disappointment with quality of the food.

i started this week working in the Cambridge area, and with most central hotels being out of my companys budget, i opted to stay here ....now known as The Lord Byron Inn. This had everything i wanted for my one night stay. Comfortable clean room, ample parking, friendly staff, smooth check in, free wi fi in the room, decent bar... More

Stayed here on business for 2 nights while working in the area. The rooms are in a courtyard setting outside the pub and are quite adequate with everything you need. The pub is great and had a great atmosphere and good pub food and drink. Cambridge is quite an expensive place to stay and I consider this good value. It's... More

I stayed here for 1 night this weekend due to a family function, I was a lady travelling alone as my partner was not able to attend. I was impressed with the hotel part and the public areas. I had room 3, it was a nice clean large room with crisp white bedding and soft white towels and lovely decoration.... More

We have just returned from a great weekend in Cambridge - we stayed here at the Lord Byron (it has changed it's name recently) - the rooms were impeccably clean and we had everything we would want in a room (toiletries, towels, tea/coffee, tv and free wifi (with strong signal). The staff were extremely welcoming - we came back after... More

Six of us took our seats in the dining room and ordered dinner shortly after 8pm... then to be told that they had run out of soup, not really a disaster, the alternative was ok and the food was overall unremarkable (although at £15 the lamb was over-priced). After finishing our main courses we tried to order dessert, only to... More
