Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the hotel for a long weekend on 15th - 18th January and were stunned that the hotel we stayed in was the same one that all the reviews had slated. We upgraded to an executive room so we got a little more space and the deal we got included an evening meal on one... more

Whilst this hotel is nothing outstanding to look at and is not within walking distance to anywhere £129 represents excellent value for a 2 night break including dinner on one night. Cambridge is easily accessible by a bus only two minutes walk from the hotel. The pool leisure facilities are OK and ideal for freshening up after walking the sights... more

Having read some of the other reviewers negative comments after we'd booked a weekend break here I was a little concerned what I would find on arrival. We'd booked a two night twin executive room package which included breakfast, dinner and half bottle of wine. Wary of the traffic noise from the nearby A14, I asked on check in whether... more

When I was booked into this hotel my heart sank. I've stayed there several times and been disappointed on every occasion (unfortunately my company only allows us to stay in a few hotels and this is one of them). On arrival the receptionist was lovely and very helpful although she assumed that I'd be eating in the restaurant . The... more

We have held our annual Long Service Dinner and Day Conferences here for the past few years. I have received all the help and advice I required in arranging my functions. The hotel is quiet, clean and modern. It has a decent size swimming pool and gym. The staff are polite and willing to help whenever they can. I cannot... more

Hotel good. Room Ok but minimal in size and facilities. Food was good, (breakfast and an evening meal). Staff polite but not overly enthuastic about being helpful. This seemed a shame when hotel was far from busy and we had been in email contact with the hotel in advance checking things and saying it was a treat for us!We had... more

Stayed here a number of times, the hotel is out of town but near to my work. The standard rooms are, as noted in other reviews, small and poorly furnished, the bathrooms in particular are in need of refurbishment. The standard of cleanliness is low, the last standard room I stayed in had a pair of socks under the bed... more

Well, this is an interesting one.... The first room i was given in this hotel was DIRE. Something I'd expect of a 2/3 star hotel. The room was tiny, not even enough room for a full size wardrobe/desk. Additionally, the bathroom was tiny. Perhaps, but not quite, worst was the quite prevelant damp problem. Wallpaper was peeling away from the... more

Dear guest Thank you for posting your comments about your recent stay. We do, as you have pointed out, have up grade rooms in the hotel. This does not excuse the wall paper, and I will instruct the Maintenance Team to complete a full inspection of the Standard wing. The hotel did under go a £2.2 Million refurbishment of the...

Ideally suited to our needs, from the minute that we started organising the conference through to the actual event itself. Ideally located for our team who were travelling from all over the country, we all benefitted from the helpful friendly staff and attentive service. The food for the event was well received, especially the bacon rolls at the start of... more

I can't put into words how soul-less and depressing this place is, literally in the middle of nowhere, and a 20 minute drive from Cambridge. It's devoid of any atmosphere and full of business travellers who stay there only because they have to. I find the staff outwardly pleasant but lax, foreign and uncompromising. Having stayed here more than once,... more
