Found this B & B at short notice after rejecting a nearby "B&B" which we had booked online from Australia. It turned out to be a workers accomodation type guest house with no live in host. First class venue. Clean, comfortable & an easy place to stay. Friendly. Breakfast can be big or small, as you wish. On site parking. Easy & frequent buses into Cambridge, which is just a few miles away. Only one potential problem - only one local restaurant/ pub with food in the area. I would recommend Hamden House to others.

Very clean and comfortable. We had a room view of the garden, on the first floor, lovely and quiet. Breakfast was nice and lots of it. I would definitely stay again.

The owners left us alone which is ok but we have found that the B&B's we have stayed at have been much more personable than this one. If you are looking for just a place to sleep and a greasy breakfast this is it.

Needed a B&B in the Cambridge area and booked here due to reviews on Trip Advisor, and because of price compared to many others in the area being much more. I booked online and Don the owner responded very quickly and was able to fit us in on a cancellation . I Stayed at the Hamden during the Cambridge Folk Festival. I do not drive but I did not have a problem with getting from Cherry Hinton into town as we were on a good bus route, with bus stops within sight of the guest house.
