An excellent, very clean and comfortable hotel. Couple that with the eclectic nature of the historic building and the awesome monsoon showers (giant shower heads with serious downpour) and you have a delightful destination. Their cellar wine bar is very nice with a very wine cellar feel. The attached bistro serves excellent food. I travel to Cambridge every quarter. This... more

Stayed here for one night on business, I booked the night before and could not get a room at the Hilton, Crown Plaza or anywhere similar hotel. Settled for the Du Vin and was told that parking was £14 overnight,. When I arrived at 6pm I managed to find ample parking outside the hotel so didn't pay the extra. Check... more

We loved Hotel du Vin. To start with, the staff could not have been more helpful. I asked them for many favors, and all were granted cheerfully. We opted for their "standard" room and were surprised to find down duvets, tons of pillows, a heated bathroom floor, a huge soaking tub, fluffy towels and robes, a flat screen tv and... more

We stayed in the Gaudium Suite for 10 nights in April. Huge plasma tv, nice courtyard (too cold when we were there, but pretty), plasma in the bathroom. Nice bath amenities. But you are down in the basement- we would not stay in that room for that long again. My girls were on the top floor in Hush Heath a... more

Very disappointing stay having previously had excellent experience at Hotel Du Vin Bham. I was in Tattinger room on top floor. Very small dark room with sloping roof eating in to space in bathroom and bedroom. Room was too hot (even in April!) and meant using noisy air con all night. Shower door also leaked. Parking was also a big... more

Stayed here for one night whilst in the area, never having stayed before at a Hotel Du Vin nor in Cambridge. All of the staff we came across were fantastic with a great attitude and obvious love of their job! Very helpful also when booking - their car park was full however directed us to a nearby hotel that had... more

Having stayed in the Du Vin chain in Brighton and Birmingham, we had an idea of what to expect. Unfortunately, we could only reserve one of the smaller rooms due to the late booking - but at least they had not implemented the two night policy at that point. Parking was a pain - but I guess this is Cambridge... more

I had booked a night in the Hotel du Vin in December for my husband's birthday but had to cancel when the children were sick. When I called back to rebook for March they had changed their policy to min 2 night stay at the weekend. When I explained the situation they honoured the original booking and allowed me to... more

I stayed at Hotel Du Vin for two nights while visiting the nearby Biotechnology Institute. It is a wonderful small hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was luxurious and quiet. The public rooms, including the library, are quite interesting. The location is great. The restaurant is also quite good but fills up almost every day. I would... more
