This holiday was preceded by a trip to the “sister” Fermaine Valley Hotel in Guernsey which was excellent in all regards and is thoroughly recommended. Braye Beach however is a dilemma in that it is beautifully designed and executed enjoying a superb location overlooking Braye Bay but fails to fulfil its potential because it is badly let down by poor... more

Alderney is the smallest of the Channel Islands with a population of less than 3,000. To find such a wonderful hotel on this small but interesting island is a revelation. Having been recently refurbished public areas and rooms are in good condition and tastefully furnished. Service, though not always slick, is friendly and competent. Food is good quality and well... more

We went on a mini break from Jersey with a Blue Islands special offer, and were really impressed by the hotel and the island. The staff were friendly and helpful, whilst the hotel was hugely comfortable without being pretentious. The position is fantastic, right on the unspoilt sweep of sandy beach. The food was fresh, inventive and delicious. If you can't... more

Visited on a day trip just for a coffee, so impressed booked on the spot for a 3 night inclusive stay. This included flights, taxi to and from hotel and some other extra's we did not use. Wife had no idea where she was going and was bowled over by location. Hotel has benefited from a very classy refurb, room... more

Just returned from a muliti stop holiday which included a few nights at Braye Beach. The location and quality of the Hotel is everything the website and brochures say it is and YES it is a great place (super location, superb views from the excellent room, and some very friendly staff). It's when you get to the restaurant that the... more

We booked at short notice for a five night break, due to coinciding acidentally with Alderney week there were problems with flights, Maria at the hotel spent a considerable ammount of time in contact with us to make acceptable arrangements. We found the staff at the Hotel, friendly, helpful and always available. As we like a quiet life, being situated... more

On Friday 6th June we stated at the Braye Beach Hotel overnight. We had come off a yacht after a few rough days and needed a good nights sleep. What they didn't tell us when they booked us in was they had party booked in 'The Divers' the hotel pub. There was loud music, people shouting and singing and the... more

Fancied a few days in Fermain Bay, Guernsey - hotel there full but they recommended this sister hotel on Alderney, quietest and smallest of the three main Channel Islands yet one dripping with history. Arrived with fingers crossed, to find this is an absolute gem from the moment we first entered the foyer. Outstanding staff, well-trained, welcoming, faultlessly helpful, cheerful... more

I was intrigued to try this place out as I had stayed at the sister hotal in Guernsey (Fernmain Valley) the year before and though knowing the channel islands very well, I had never been to Alderney. Alderney out of season is quite a bleak place and could even be considered a little grim but this gem of a place... more
