Just returned from a few days on Sark, staying with Sally & Peter at Le Vieux Clos (also known as the old Doctor's House). Couldn't have felt more at home. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome, with a pot of tea on arrival whilst we were waiting for the 'tractor' to deliver our bags! (We even left our slippers in the porch!).
Our en-suite room was spacious, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was to die for! Sally cooks a lovely hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. And as it is difficult to find restaurants open at this time of year on Sark, Sally offered us an evening meal option to. These meals were also delicious, using local produce when available and the home-made deserts are a must!
It was really interesting to chat to both Peter and Sally about the history of Sark and indeed the history of 'the Doctors House'!
