I have stayed in the Campanile Hotel in Runcorn several times. It is one of very few hotels available in Runcorn, and just about the only sizeable hotel in the old town. It is very handy for the railway station. Although the exit road from the Runcorn-Widnes bridge runs around the hotel, traffic noise does not seem to be a... more

We booked a 1 night stay at the Campanile when we visited Runcorn for a surprise birthday party on 25th January 2007. Our party consisted of 2 married couples, all of us are "40-something" We paid £41 per room per night, breakfast not included. 1st impression: 1960s. Stayed here whilst attending a family wedding at the town hall it was fine we had a motel style outside lodge thing. Power shower and bath, tea and coffee, hairdryer etc BUT nowhere to plug anything in so I couldn't use my hair straightners I'd bought.
