Ample parking, very efficient welcome. Clean ample sized room, comfortable bed. Room overlooked large rear garden the chickens didnt disturb us! The breakfast was extensive and 'the full English' freshly cooked to order with high quality ingredients.
A gentle ten minute stroll took us to the race meeting which, to those that dont know Chester, abuts the old city walls. We usually stay in a four star Hotel but refurbishment and extortionate prices in other Hotels( rates are affected by the Race meeting) led us to this gem. We have payed three times the price for a barely equivalent hotel. An example of our hosts service ethic is shown by the provision of an ice bucket and champagne flutes for a pre race fortifier!
We will definately be returning next year. more
