Visited in the hope of finding information about arranging a family gathering there after being at two very enjoyable events at Broxton Hall within the last few years. The weeds are starting to grow and on peering through the windows, it seems that the furniture has been removed. The Chester Chronicle's web site has a report from March 2009 saying... more

Stayed for 3 nights, the second of which was Valentine's Day. Didn't realise when we booked that this night could only be boked with the full 5 course dinner, but after booking we were immediately contacted by the hotel to advise us of the conditions. Decided to continue with the booking and are glad we did. We were a little... more

We stayed in the Fourpost room. Poky and dark with window curtains hangining from the rail, and cobwebs hanging from the bed hangings. The bathroom was cold, plastic and very nasty with an exceptionally oddly placed bathroom mirror which meant my husband had to shave on his knees (and the trip was part of his 60th birthday celebrations!). Dark red... more

We are very upset with this lady's comments after her stay at Broxton Hall Hotel. She made no comment at all, at the hotel or when I personally checked her out on her departure. This leaves us helpless to review and fix any problems there might have been. For a more realistic outlook of our hotel, please check the reviews...

Broxton Hall Hotel is a lovely hotel with just very accommodating owners and staff. The breakfast is served in a conservatory with a wonderful view of the gardens which must be beautiful in the spring and summer though still lovely in November. The food is very good for breakfast and dinner. Our 4 poster room was very large and nice.... more

My wife and I were allocated room number 1. What a dreadful room. Small, in desperate need of redecoration. Not very clean, even the light switches were grubby. Carpet and wallpaper need replacing. The mastik around the bath was brown and the ensuite bathroom was small and dark. Wardrobe consisted of a small "home made" poorly constructed cupboard that would... more

This guest stayed 3 minutes which is why he did not notice the Hall is fully centrally heated both in the room and bathroom. Being a Grade 2 Listed building, built in 1671 we cannot install individual airconditioning in each room hence the oil filled radiator for guest to control. (Convection fans are a health and safety hazard). The bed...

We stayed at Broxton Hall in the snow in March 2006. Although the weather conditions were terrible we were met with a warm welcome from the owners of the hotel. There was a log fire blazing away and the atmosphere of the hotel was lovely. We had dinner at the hotel and I have to say this was one of... more

Hotel is charming and food is good, but we were given a poorly decorated room which might have been cleaner. Raised it with management on departure, but compensation request refused. Would not visit again. more

My husband and I had a kid free night and on the spare of the moment we booked a night at Broxton Hall. If you like stately homes this is for you. Full of character and charm. A ten bedroomed hotel, all shapes and sizes. We arrived late but we were made very very welcome by the owners, the food... more
