My wife and I had a 3 night stay here and my overall impression of it was that it was OK but nothing more, not deserving of a very high recommendation but certainly not too bad. The room was quite small in comparison to other B&Bs that we have stayed at and the bed was very uncomfortable (we both had... more

Stayed here while visiting for Chester races and we weren't disappointed. We stayed in a 'large double room' which had 2 single and 1 double bed on the first floor and had plenty of room. Breakfast was lovely, the staff all very friendly. B&B is in a nice quiet area of Chester so a peaceful night's sleep but not too... more

The website looks nice but the second floor room we were given bore no relation to the "high ceilinged" room described. This room was poky, the en-suite WC noisy, the bed uncomfortable and theTV fixed at such an awkward angle (above the door !!!) that it was not viewable without craning one's neck. Breakfast was very good though. more

We stayed here for one night on return from a holiday abroad. This is an excellent B&B. Everything that you could possibly need can be found in an immaculately clean room. Our room had an en suite shower, but the bathroom next door was available for anyone who wanted a long soak in a very large corner bath. Breakfast was... more

We wished we had more than one night at this lovely B&B. The house is majestic, and it has a seperate residents lounge where we could chill out and have a cup of tea. Every little detail was taken care of, and breakfast in the dining room was just fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of coming to... more

We stayed at Mitchell's Guest House our first night in Chester (a very quaint town worth spending some time) and thought it was very nice, very clean and quite spacious and comfortable. We would highly recommend it. To get there, you can take a free shuttle bus from the train station to the center of town and walk across the... more

We'd definately go back. Warm welcome, helpful owners, good breakfast and service, reasonabley priced. Our double room was very clean and enjoyable to stay in - with a great wee en-suite. There's also a funny African Grey parrot called jimmy who only talks to you when you've given up whistling to him and are half way up the stairs! more

I just spent a few days in Chester, staying at Mitchell's of Chester. It's a guesthouse on the Southern side of the river Dee, about 25 minutes walk away from the town centre. So if you have difficulty walking this might be a disadvantage. (Taxi ride about 3 GBP, there are also some buses). Apart from that it was an... more
