Found The Glann on lastminute.com at £50 for a Saturday night including breakfast which turned out to be really good value. Its a 10-15 minute walk to Chester centre or £4 in taxi and seems to be in a decent location with plenty of shops etc nearby. Also has a small car park as well which is useful. Cheshire Oaks... more

We stayed at the Glann for 4 nights this August. We were on a tour of England and Scotland an this was the best by far of the 4 places we stayed. We stayed at the Glann in Chester for two nights. We arrived slightly earlier than anticipated and were greeted warmly and shown to a very clean, well equipped and comfortable room. We booked four nights and stayed only one in the Glann Chester it is the worst b&b I have ever stayed in, door locked when we arrived,shabby entrance,tired decor in the room and filthy showerhead. All in it was a bad experience. Pat &Dave McBride Scotland. more

We have stayed here on several occasions and are always very pleased with the friendlyness and service of the owners/staff. The rooms are clean and tidy and everything you need for a short stay is provided. A good english breakfast is served to set you on your way. We will certainly return in the future. more

Very good value B&B. Rooms a little tired, but more than made up for by the welcome and friendly service. Breakfast very good, with all choices catered for. Good location, quiet yet within short walk of city centre. Plenty of choice of pubs and restaurants close by. more
