Found a good deal for half price b&b on specified dates on their website so decided to get some treatments done in the spa as part of an anniversary treat. Very friendly, polite and informative staff on arrival. Room was clean, good size, nicely decorated and had a lovely sea view. Excellent tea and coffee making facilities and very comfortable... More

Booked to join some freinds. had a lot of issues booking online & by phone (our freinds booking was lost!) but arrived and given a room upgrade. Nice room by walls are very thin (very thin means listening to others in the shower!). The spa was over crowded so my wife was stopped from going in, but others were just... More

Arrived for one night having driven from London and returning the next day - asked for a quiet room to ensure not being too tired on the drive back (12 hours in 2 days is tiring) and was given a room next to the housemaids office and on the stairwell, so not protection from any noise so didn't sleep too... A short, but sweet review that says all it needs to. We had to action essential maintenance to the health club, to keep up the good standard of fittings and equipment; I’m pleased to advise that this is all now complete, and we are open as usual. As far as I was aware, all guests were contacted regarding the closure,... More

I treated my partner to a long weekend as it was her birthday. We were impressed with everything about the hotel, although we did not eat in the restaurant as we were out most days. We did have room service one evening, which was very good. As it is a long journey getting to this part of Cornwall - from... More

Excellent hotel with great facilities but appalling IT infrastructure. On both occasions I have stayed there have been huge problems with Wi Fi. On the second occasion I had rung prior to booking as being able to access the internet is essential for me and was told that it would definitely not be a problem as the IT issues had... More

I completely see you point of view regarding wifi, it is imperative for myself when travelling. In honesty we have had an issue with wifi, but intermittent; I.e. working for so long, then just dropping off for no reason that we can fathom; we think we have now got to the bottom of this, and by the end of this... My daughter and I stayed at St Michaels for a well earned break. We work as beauty and massage therapists, so decided to take advantage of the 2 night January Spa deal to sample what it feels like being on the recieving end. I must say that we were very impressed with the deal and thought it was fantastic value... More

My husband and I have stayed at St Michaels a few times before and have just had another weekend break as we needed some respite from the daily stresses that having two children with special needs can bring!! We had a superior room which was extremely comfortable. The staff were all efficient and extremely helpful and friendly. The food was... More

More and more I am reading thank you letters, and reviews on tripadvisor from guests whom regard St Michaels as their home from home. Guests such as yourselves whom visit us for short breaks to re-charge their batteries. Whilst we value all guests, it’s always nice to welcome a return guest. We had a great deal - 2 nights DB&B for a very reasonable rate. The food had improved amazingly from when we first went some years ago. A really lovely breakfast that covered every taste and very good evening meal. The staff were largely young, upbeat and on the ball. The hotel is opposite Gyllie beach - the cafe there is... More
