We returned to this hotel 34 years after our first stay. It is a very welcoming place and has recently been acquired by new owners who instantly made us feel at home upon our arrival. Our (upgraded) sea view room was spacious and spotlessly clean with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Tea with freshly baked cake was served in one of... more

Stayed here a couple of months ago, I think this is our 4th stay in the last few years. We just love the location, the hotel is quietly tucked away down a tiny road and minutes from the beach at Tallland. The hotel rooms do seem to vary a bit in size and decor, this time we booked late and... more

We had booked DBB, two nights for a superior sea view room at £245.00 per night. Checked in and was shown to our room, first impression-it was big, second impression-strong smell of damp, third impression-in dire need of updating. There were two old mink velour armchairs positioned looking out over 'sea view'. one had a large burn mark on the... more

Booked at the last minute with a great deal through www.laterooms.com the Talland Bay Hotel was great find. Situated down a narrow lane the hotel is situates high above the Cornish Coast. The welcome from the delightful Maggie was great and our standard room had a great view of the gardens and valley. The hotel exudes an air of calm... more

Fantastic hotel - it was a really lovely, relaxing place. The room wasn't one that had been renovated and the decor was a little 'floral' (not what is shown on the website) but the room was spacious and sparkling clean. Described as a 'country view' the immediate view was of the car park...the hotel is very smart and bucket and... more

Enjoyed Hotel but felt overpriced! As a 4* hotel in Cornwall the price is comparitive to London 5* hotels but customer service is lacking from senior management. Not enough luxury to be charging the price that it does! more

We have never found a more delightful English country hotel: lovely rooms with views of the sea, great costal walking on the doorstep, log fires in the cold months, lovely professional staff, and beautiful dining room with food as good as you would expect at its equivalent in France. more

In general we never go back to places as they often disappoint you on return. After 27 years away we returned to visit the Talland Bay. On arriving we were to where we were staying...no porterage...carry you own bags and let yourself in. We were on a £220 per night dinner bed and breakfast speacial rate. We chose a seaview... more

Goodish hotel in a nice location. If you ever wondered what the difference is between a boutique hotel and a posh guest house, this one is a bit of each. Nice dining room with good service and good breakfasts but quite expensive nouvelle cuisine in little portions for dinner - some will love it, others will need to tuck into... more
