Stayed at the rivercroft last month and must say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is set in a beautiful location yards away from the town. The staff were extremely helpful and treated us like longtime friends. Our room was lovely, spacious and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!! we ate there every night of our 7 night stay... More

Stayed here last year in June, with my mum and dad and my best friend.. We loved it, such lovely staff and rooms was spotless! The morning breakfast was delicious, can't fault it. Didn't really have the best view from me and my friends room, it was just a brick wall. But we didn't really care anyway because the room... More

We stayed in appt 2 with 2 boys on the sofa bed in the lounge. We were all delighted with the facilities, having a kitchenette certainly helps a 3 day stay rather than just an hotel room and being in separate rooms to sleep meant we all slept well and it did not get stuffy at all. The rooms were... More

I have visited this place in the bar only for their brilliant offer on Fridays and Saturdays offer. The offer is between 7 and 9pm for a Rump steak including chips, mushrooms, onion rings and peas with a pint of anything they sell except Stella for only £8.25p. And let me tell you the food quality is terrific and substantial.... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights.when we arrived the reception was empty and had to ring the bell for someone to check us in.we were given key to the room 14 on the top floor.we have had a big suitcase and two small children .it would have been nice if we were offered a help with our luggage... We stayed at the rivercroft earlier in the year and have to say it was fantastic. Lovely clean rooms and a great breakfast. However we're just back from another stay with them and the standards have really dropped. We were welcomed by an empty reception and when we were served we were just given our key and sent on our... Positives: This is a two star hotel and no more. It needs loving as opposed to staff just functioning. It is reasonable priced. Fantastic views Large rooms Clean rooms Friendly place where you can relax Free parking Negatives that the owners really do need to address: Walking in and out of the hotel you have to walk through people smoking... I agree with other reviewers that first impressions are disappointing as you have to battle the smokers in the doorway on each journey in and out through main doors. Pretty disgusting for non-smokers. A more friendlier welcome rather than the basic courteous one would have made us feel more comfortable too. Generally clean and comfortable although finer points like inside... More

Once you've battled your way through the smokers who block the front entrance you are met with an empty reception. After ringing the bell twice a woman rushed out clearly harassed and irritated asking if we had booked! Once I said yes she softened marginally. The room was ok for a B&B not a hotel (and we had the suite)!... More

I stayed at The Rivercroft hotel for the duration of the Looe festival. We were given the key to room 15.. 3 flights of stairs later(which we didn't mind)we opened the door & were quite shocked by the room. The brochure shows modern clean rooms, ours looked as though it had been left since the 1980's.. The shower was a mere... More
