The lodge was clean and tidy, the rooms were more spacious than what i have stayed in before, they do not pack you in to the room with no floor space. The lodge has tv in each room.. they even have fridges in each room. There is no communal kitchen but we found that was better as we had our... more

myself and 2 friends, very keen surfers, decided to stay in sharbait surf lodge last year as we were keen to get into the surfing scene. Newquay being britians prime surfing hotspot made it an obvious destination and we were also looking forward to the famed nightlife. We looked on the internet and found sharkbait, which had a snazzy website... more

We were really pleased with the accommadation. Funky decor, basic furnishings but everything you needed, sofa, bunk beds, microwave, tv/dvd, fridge, shelves. Even have facilties out the back... more

We were a little disapointed apon arrival to find they were not expecting us, even though we had left a deposit. The facilities were not gr8, but overall the cleanliness was very poor! We knew staying in a lodge was going to be basic but we expected it to be clean, The showers and toilets never seemed to be cleaned... more

SORRY about the bathrooms guys, after the summer season the lodge suffered loads of damage i.e the whole in the wall (someone punched it!) and the bathrooms were less than hospitable, we are closed in December for repairs and will post some photos then! (The lodge gets a refurb every year, this damage is from a couple of months of...

I spent a week in Sharkbait Surflodge this summer and was very pleased with the lovely accomodation, and at budget prices! The manager and his girlfriend were very friendly and always happy to help with our queries. The rooms were very comfy and cosy with kettles, fridges and microwaves, and they were very clean and well kept. I particularly loved... more

I had the pleasure of staying at Sharkbait surf lodge earlier this year as I had some work in the area. When I arrived at the lodge I was warmly welcomed and shown to my immaculate room. Everything was very clean, yet cosy and the manerger and manergeress made me feel so welcome and at home. I stayed for a... more

A group of us went to Sharkbait lodge in the spring for a long weekend. We found the owners very friendly and helpful, the beds were comfy and the location excellent. The lodge is 5 mins walk away 2 beaches and lots of bars and restaurants in the centre of Newquay itself. A great place to go for surfing, drinking... more

Having gone onto this site to write a lovely review about sharkbait, I feel rather shocked having seen the review left by the large group of friends and I feel I must now give my opinion. When we arrived at Sharkbait, the lodge was very warm and clean, we immediately felt at home there. I especially found the managers to... more

Seventeen guests arrived at Sharkbait Surf Lodge excited for our stay in Newquay. After speaking with the manageress prior to our arrival and informed her of our arrival time our rooms weren't ready. So we left our luggage piled into one of the rooms without being given our keys, just asked to 'come back later'. This was fine, until I... more

I would like to respond to the customer Dulais netball club Swansea who stayed with us in March 2008 as we feel the review was unfair and have a few comments ourselves about that particular group. The group arrived half an hour early about 1.30and rooms were still being cleaned after departure of previous groups. They were asked to come...
