Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked for 3 days in October to see the Bloodhound land speed inaugural run! Lovely welcome, most relaxing stay we have had for along time. Room excellent standard with tea, coffee and home made flapjacks plus water to take out with a very pleasant sitting garden room for relaxing and breakfast (home made bread, jam and locally sourced ingredients!). We felt part of but not on top of our hosts. Good pub , 3 minutes walk. Lovely pretty village away from the bustle of Newquay but great for exploring the area. Steve and Jill had good suggestions for all types of dining and cream teas! Happy to book for tables in Padstow etc as good WiFi but not for mobiles in the village. Garden looked welcoming for the warmer weather. Thoroughly recommended plus do get directions to avoid the ford (satnav insisted it was best via the water!)

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Moorlands House. A delightful b&b, excellent hosts and a good breakfast. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed at, one not to be missed, just don't try the lane in your Ferrari!

We have just come back from a wonderful 3 days at Moorland House for our son's 21st birthday. It was perfect from the first glimpse of the beautiful garden with a table set with tea/coffee/juices and gorgeous cakes. Lovely accommodation, and fantastic breakfasts, catering for a vegetarian really well. Steve and Jill are a lovely welcoming couple, who couldn't do enough to help make this a memorable stay. Jill even added some great birthday decorations to the table, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We hope to be back next year:)

I would definitely recommend this accommodation and Stephen and Jill were perfect hosts. We stayed for only 3 nights during a period of exceptionally good weather. The accommodation was fantastic and is located in the prettiest village I know. We were in the double room which was on the ground floor, next to the small seating area. The small seating area had a fish tank under the floor which caused much excitement when my nieces came to collect us. Every guide book/leaflet you could ever need were stored in the room - very useful had the weather been bad. We had access to the garden / patio and could sit outside in the scorching weather. Breakfast was fabulous. In addition, we were provided with a jar of home-made 'health bars' in our room (similar to flap jacks). We wolfed down the first batch and a 2nd quickly appeared.

I am a single lady who recently travelled alone to a friends wedding in Mawgan Porth and was so lucky to have found this little gem! The small but friendly B&B is in a lovely village, a forty min. (very picturesque) walk to the wonderful beach at Mawgan Porth. The owners Jill and Steve Longden picked me up from the airport and gave me lifts my entire stay, nothing was too much bother for them . The room was modern and clean and the breakfast was excellent, everything you could imagine to have for breakfast was there and home made too. I will certainly be returning.!!!
