We stayed at Room 7 for two consecutive nights. It's a double en-suite bedroom, of an average size, but apparently with the best sea view out of the 8 rooms in the B&B. The room got pretty bright at around 7am as there were just ordinary (not black out) curtains. I have been visiting Newquay on and off since i was 11 in 1975,
My freinds celebrated my 18th birthday in Watergate Bay and loved Newquay -(I nearly drowned surfing at Mawgan Porth!)
The last time i visited the town was in 2001 with my Children during the World Surfing Championships,we stayed at the Victoria Hotel and my daughter Chelsea has never forgotten the Indoor pool!

The Avondale was not on Tripadvisor but i took a chance as i couldn't wait to come back "home".
Elliot the proprietor- originally from Brighton is a wonderfull host and his food is great! Accommodation is vintage but tastefully
done and its...
