Lovely hosts and so nice and friendly. Rooms had comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Better than most in Newquay for B&B's. Close to lots of amenties, easy walking to town centre with some parking at front and back. Good breakfast. Fistral was 10 mins walk away. Enjoyed stay

I was walking from Lands End to Padstow with two 13 yr oldboys. Bridie is so friendly and immediately took all the clothes from the boys to wash and dry out as had been hit by a storm on the way through so sodden!! Room was large and clean. Really friendly and great boys breakfast in the morning setting them... More

We stayed here for one night in a family room. Although my first impression from the outside was that it was a bit old and was going to be awful, I couldn't have been happier. The lovely 'Bridy' was very friendly and helpful, the room was nice and clean, enough space for all 5 of us, with a nice modern... More

This was a return visit to Tir Chonail for me, and it has been consistently good. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the room was large, plenty of storage. The bathroom had recently been redecorated, and everywhere was clean and spotless. The breakfast was excellent, and they were able to accommodate my schedule. I frequently come to Newquay for... Where do I start? Everything about the place is dated - from Decor to service. We were greeted after 5 minutes of trying to get someone's attention. Car parking facilities are abysmal - chances are it will be scratched. The room smelt old and the bed was uncomfortable. Everything creeks and the place is generally unpleasant. Breakfast was inedible -... More

My husband and I stayed for one night on the 26 August, while our daughters were celebrating our niece's hen night elsewhere in Newquay. A lovely warm welcome and were shown to a spacious room with all amenities. Plenty of tea and coffee and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Breakfast included a range of... More

Only stayed for one night and the room was large, very clean and had a good quantity of tea/coffee sachets and enough milk to match! The huge window was perfect on a hot night, and although front-facing on a main road I only heard traffic - no people noise at all... this surprised me as it was only a few... More

Four of us girls stayed here for 2 nights and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were nice and very clean and we had a lovely breakfast. Good location not to far from the town prob a 5 min walk but we got taxis to the beach. I would recommend to others, better than other hotels nearby... More

When we arrived the bedroom door was propped open with a stool, thought nothing of this at the time but later when we returned after being our for the evening there was a smell of sick in the room, the previous guest had been sick down the side of the bed and the carpet had not been cleaned properly. The... More
