We try to visit this hotel at least once a year because it's definitely special - wonderfully spacious, comfortable and stylish but not at all pretentious. It's a really family friendly hotel with delightful staff and we can take our dog too! He loves walking on Fistral beach and along the cliff paths. We've just experienced the worst weather we've... I have heard great things about this hotel and had booked a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Unfortunately we have a death in the family near our reservation. The management team was considerate and great to work with. We look forward to staying here in the future given their focus on customer satisfaction.

Due to a problem walking my wife and I cancelled a holiday abroad but decided we needed a nice break in the UK, for this we looked at a number of hotels in Cornwall that provided a good standard. Well with the Headland Hotel we stumbled on a treasure. Having looked at Tripadvisor both the good and bad reviews we... More

I am pleased to read that on the whole, you enjoyed your stay with us and we are grateful for all your positive feedback. With regards to the “few minor niggles” as you put it; I am saddened to read this part of your review as we do take pride in every department in the Hotel to ensure our guests... More

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff, without exception, brilliant. We stayed here at the recommendation of friends, who we came with this time. Their room was lovely, we paid £12 less and our room just didn't compare! To make it worse we were in an interconnecting room and the room next door had two men staying, part of a... More

This is a gorgeous, elegant hotel with overtones of 30s glamour and possibly the friendliest staff on the entire riviera...and yet I can't help but feel that it could be a genuinely superb international destination. Even the royals stayed here...back in 1911...and they've probably coasted on that as the continent opened up and the demand for elite coastal hotels evaporated.... More

The 40 classic cars with their eighty occupants visited the hotel for a short coffee and refreshment stop whilst en route to Cape Cornwall having commenced their journey six days earlier at Cabo da Roca, Portugal. The staff looked after all in an efficient manner with many suggesting that they would re-visit the hotel when more time was available.

It was indeed a spectacular sight and an honour for us too. I am glad that everyone was suitably refreshed during their long journey and especially pleased to hear that members of the group were so impressed with The Headland that they would like to book to stay with us. I certainly hope we have the pleasure of their company... More

Another return trip back to the headland cottages, this year with a nearly walking one year old, so we chose a cottage all on one level so as not to worry about stairs etc. Waterside 1 is tucked round the back and was spacious, had an enclosed garden and was lovely and quiet. Despite being described as only having a... More

We have just returned from our second visit to the Headland Hotel. It's a fantastic location, just a 5 minute walk into Newquay and right on Fistral Beach. Our one big downside was the fact that our room could be made into an adjoining room.. This meant we were woken up at 7am when the man next door woke up... More

We stayed in Tide 1, one of a number of cottages in the grounds of the Headland Hotel over the bank holiday, 3 night stay. The accommodation was first rate, clean, good quality fittings, comfortable beds and well furnished. We had sea views and they welcome well behaved pets, as it says on their web site, even wet and sandy... More

We have spent some lovely times at the Headland Hotel. The location is excellent and even with some wet weather those who enjoy a swim can use the indoor pool instead of the sea. For us one of the main reasons we use the hotel is the staff. They are friendly, efficient and when we had a family crisis, they went... More

Facilities include a heated spa pool with bubble seats and a jet stream, hot tub, aromatherapy showers, Swedish sauna and Cornish salt steam room.We are currently working on the final stage of The Headland Spa which will be unveiled in summer 2013. This will include a host of exciting features including a robed dining area and relaxation lounge, a nail salon for manicures and pedicures, a Rhassoul, St. Tropez tanning room, a hydrotherapy bath and a suite of luxury treatment rooms including a VIP suite for exclusive use.We are endeavouring to keep the disturbance to our guests to an absolute minimum, and would hope that the allure of the spa relaxation to come will overcome any slight inconveniences that might occur along the way.
