We have stayed at this Hotel on and off for for 25 years, The service has improved over these years. The addition of the cottages has brought them into the new century. A cottage with all the Hotel facilities on your doorstep. The Armstongs ( the owners) have a hotel and cottage complex to be proud of. more

Every time we have been here we have a fabulous break - in both the hotel and the cottages. At the headland they have managed to create an informal atmosphere with incredibly friendly and professional staff so that you can relax and enjoy your break. Surfing at Fistral is a bonus. more

On a night approach in November, one would be forgiven for expecting bats flying out of the two turrets. Spooky! But by day the terracotta brick and local stone work blend into a glorious warm looking building which continues on the inside where it is warm, cosy, friendly and with a menu that not only tickles the palate, but did... more

We stayed at the Headland for a weekend to celebrate my Birthday and all of our party were looked after with great care, especially my elderly parents. The Family Dinner was excellent-quality of the food, the staff 's attention to detail and the service were all exemplary and contributed to us all enjoying a fantastic time away. Many thanks to... more

We spent 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast over a weekend during half-term. The staff were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. They were very happy for us to be served our dessert in the lounge in front of the fire as our children were getting tired. The food was very good and we had no problems with any... more

Wonderful weekend spent here. The decor is luxurious without being stuffy, and all the staff very friendly and eager to please. The food is extremely good, beautifully presented and excellent value for money if you go half board (works out about £13 each for three courses!) We stayed in a Headland room, which was perfectly adequate; wouldn't have wanted any... more

We were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff who were not put off by the fact we entered the emaculate lobby covered in mud from our cycle trip. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna certainly did the job in warming us up. If you want a room with a view then you are in luck as whichever direction you... more

As you approach the hotel, you are reminded of bygone days of grandeur and elegance, with surely the most ideal location in newquay. On entering, the style is maintained, along with friendly, helpful staff. Our bedroom was superb, clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, with a lovely en-suite.Whilst the partial sea/inland view from our room was lovely,on our next visit,we would opt for a room that took more advantage of the stunning views... more

We stayed in one of the self catering cottages within the grounds of the hotel. Totally ideal for us as we have a 5 months year old baby and two dogs. The cottages are very well designed and equiped enabling us to fully relax. This is an ideal location, so easy to take the dogs for long walks on the... more
