Stayed there for one night in a single room. It was easily the worst room i have ever stayed in. First the bathroom - the shower attachment had long since come away from the wall and hung over the edge of the bath - not even working so i couldn't wash my hair. The bathroom carpet smelt like a cat... more

Whilst travelling into Cornwall we decided to stay the night in Newquay. We had no idea where to stay so asked locals for their recommendations. They recommended the Victoria. I believe it was about £125 to book over the phone so went online as we had the laptop with us and found the same room for £80. We upgraded to... more

Myself and my husband travelled to Newquay with our four children and weren't expecting to have much of a break ourselves. The staff were really helpful during our 5 nights and we were well looked after. Our youngest has coeliacs and diabetes however the restaurant went out of their way to cater for her dietary needs. So we were able... more

The Victoria is a classic grand Victorian cliff-top hotel, a sprawling building designed to dominate the cliff-top, and may once have been an outstanding hotel – as it is it has large and interesting public rooms on the ground floor.   I was in Newquay to attend a stag weekend, and having baulked at the standard of some of the... more

Had a few days in Newquay staying at the Victoria Hotel. This hotel has lots of character. Room was clean and a good size. Food was super. The lounges were comfortable and quiet. It is situated in a central position and parking was free. Friendly staff and a pleasant outlook. Would stay there again. more

We would say that the hotel staff were fine room was cland the ean, if a bit tired in decor, however, I booked the room for three nights for a special occasion our 20th wedding anerversary and I particularly requested a quiet sea view room as we wanted a romantic time, away from the children. with no booming music from... more

We arrived to the Hotel Victoria for our 3rd anniversary, having stayed previously for our Honeymoon and subsequently each year. The hotel never fails to fault, we were upgraded to a seaview room, which happened to be the same room we had on our honeymoon, so this was great. Fantastic to see the changes in now providing modern white linen,... more
