My work booked me in here at the last minute as I had business in town. £85 B&B The Bristol is right on the sea front -with a pedestrian crossing directly outside to get closer to the sea! Its a stones throw from the commercial centre of Newquay. I was a bit worried about staying close to the centre as... more

Other reviewers have said that the Bristol is "living in the past", which I think might be a bit harsh, but it certainly is old fashioned, and as far as I can tell, it is very deliberately that way to appeal to the OAP coach tour market. Lovely building on the outside but rather dated inside. Front facing rooms have a fantastic sea view but as we had a standard room we were at the back so viewing the... more

I stayed here for one night on my way further down to Penzance. There are nice sea views and as I had paid for a superior room I rather expected to get one, but I didn't. It didn't bother me as I was only there for a short time but I still can't think what was supposed to be superior... more

The hotel is situated within a row of other hotels facing the water. The staff was very efficient in checking us in and moving our luggage to our room. There is a lift in the hotel however, some parts of the hotel (some rooms and indoor pool area) are not accessible by lift. Our room had the most spectucular view... more
