We agree with the Dublin review. Yes the owners were pleasant but the room was tiny, decor shabby and the cooked english breakfast was horrible, so awful my boyfriend felt sick all day after trying to eat it - under cooked bacon, a hair in egg and boiled mushrooms. One of the worst I have stayed in. more

Our general reviews , our AA inspectors incognito report ,coupled with our four diamond (QUALITY)rating and guest comments book confirm our standing with our guests and a recognised quality standards agency , we have no idea of the guests identity in respect of this report. Tripadvisor is a fantastic tool for all travellers, fortunately most individuals can see a common...

We stayed at the kellsboro in february and as others have commented nothing was to much trouble for the owners even to the point of running us to the bus station so that we could catch our bus to the Eden project as the rain was so bad, although we were about to book a cab. They regularly spent time... more

Stayed at this hotel in February 06. The hotel wasn't busy as it was early in the year, but nevertheless, the owners were eager to help and made us feel very welcome. The room wasn't enormous, but was comfortable and nicely decorated. The indoor swimming pool was wonderful and the bar area was relaxing, actually too relaxing. One thing to... more

Just returned back to Scotland after a glorious week spent travelling around Cornwall. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and were very pleased with our choice. The hosts were extremely friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The room was comfortable and the swimming pool was lovely. The cooked breakfast was... more

Just a quick note to all at the Kellsboro Hotel to say 'thank you' for helping to make my sons wedding day so special. The room, table and the buffet were all presented beautifully and the service was exceptional. Thank you also to Bob for providing maps for all our guests, I don't think anyone got lost. Anyway, 'Thanks' again... more

this is the first time trip advisor has sent us on a wild goose chase. we have always had great success in the past. we booked the kellsboro based on it's number one rating - oops! this is probably the worst hotel i've ever stayed in - i cannot believe it has 4 stars?! It was a bitterly cold night... more

This is a small family-run establishment that prides ifself on the quality and care provided to its guests. We have never advertised ourselves as a 4-star hotel, we are an AA 4 diamond rated hotel, there is a difference, not least the tariff. We are often praised and recomended on the quality of our breakfasts. This couple were shown to...

We chose this hotel on the Internet after looking at the TripAdvisor reviews - and we were not disappointed. We spent 3 nights there end of October beginning November so apart from one night, we were the only guests. However we were given a lovely warm welcome by Bob and Sue. The breakfasts are superb with a choice of cereals,... more

We stayed during August this year and what a find, you don't find hosts as cosseting in this age of hustle and bustle. everything was spot on, probably because the four owners do not employ staff, they do everything themselves and it payes dividends when as they said 'the buck stops with us'. Nothing was too much trouble, they would... more
